Trading Range:

Nifty opened gap up at 12110 on Tuesday and made a high and low of 12132 and 12006 respectively before closing negative at 12038.

Review/Outlook:

For the day, support for Nifty exists at 12000 and 11950 levels whereas resistance for Nifty stands at 12100 and 12150 levels.

Review/Outlook:

Bank Nifty opened gap up at 31693, made a high of 31850, low of 31466, and closed positive at 31718. For the day, support for Bank Nifty exists at 31500 and 31300 levels whereas resistance for Bank Nifty stands at 31900 and 32100 levels.

Even as 24 suitors have gone ahead and signed a non-disclosure agreement with Coffee Day Enterprises (CDE) to pick up a majority stake in Coffee Day Global which runs the Cafe Coffee Day chain, the founder-family and the management are likely to delay the sale as its valuation has dipped by half to about Rs.3,500 crore from what it was before the passing away of founder-CEO VG Siddhartha. TVS Motor Company has introduced the 2020 range of its Apache RTR 200 4V and Apache RTR 160 4V motorcycles. TVS Apache RTR 200 4V - DC will be priced Rs.124,000 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Apache RTR 160 4V (disc) and Apache RTR 160 4V (drum) will be priced at Rs.103,000 and Rs.99,950 respectively. (ET).

ONGC has been granted a one year exemption from mandatory local sourcing of certain grades of seamless line pipes. The Grievance Committee on the Domestically Manufactured Iron and Steel Products (DMI&SP) Policy has ruled that domestic manufacturers are not able to supply seamless line pipes (for size 16 inches and below) according to ONGC specification 2020 A and 2020 B for submarine application. Gulf Oil Lubricants India on Tuesday said it has inked a pact with Piaggio Vehicles to market co-branded lubricants for commercial vehicles, starting January next year. (BS).

Telecom gear maker Tejas Networks on Tuesday said it has entered into a pact with Bharat Electronics, under which it will offer optical transmission, access and data-switching products for turn-key projects in India and overseas. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) envisages strategic cooperation, covering the use of Tejas’ optical transmission, access and data-switching products for domestic and export markets by jointly capitalising on the emerging opportunities in defence communication, strategic communication, smart city, homeland security, metro and state network projects under the ‘Make-in-India’ programme. Bharti Airtel's long-term rating was downgraded by ICRA to AA- from AA. the company informed the exchanges on Tuesday, however, its short-term rating was reaffirmed at A1+. ICRA in its note said that the revision in the long-term rating factors in the recognition of higher than anticipated provision pertaining to the Supreme Court judgement on dues payable towards license fees on adjusted gross revenues (AGR) as well as spectrum usage charge in the latest quarterly results. With an objective to strengthen financial stability and economic cooperation, the Reserve Bank of India on Tuesday revised the framework on currency swap arrangement for SAARC countries till 2022. A currency swap between countries is an agreement to exchange currencies with predetermined terms and conditions. (BL).
Indian stent-maker SMT (Sahajanand Medical Technologies) has acquired a majority stake in Brazil-based sales and marketing company Zarek Distribuidora De Produtos Hospitalares, for an undisclosed amount. The recent acquisition will strengthen SMT’s ground-presence in Brazil besides being a hub for the expanded Latin American market. (ET).
Indian economy may have slowed for the sixth consecutive quarter in July-September to 4.7 per cent, Fitch group firm India Ratings and Research said on Tuesday, as it lowered GDP growth forecast for current fiscal for the fourth time. The Indian economy expanded 5 per cent in April-June, its slowest annual pace since 2013. The 4.7 per cent projection for the second quarter of the current fiscal would mark six consecutive quarters of slowing growth, a first since 2012. (BL).
States need to scale up investments to Rs 110 lakh crore over the next decade to achieve India’s massive infrastructure targets, rating agency Crisil said on Tuesday. States already account for 41 per cent of the overall infrastructure spending of Rs 77 lakh crore this decade, the rating agency said while releasing its Infrastructure Yearbook 2019. (ET).

DJIA and NASDAQ Composite

US markets advanced to close at new all-time highs Tuesday, as investors focused on U.S.-China trade talks and an upbeat assessment of the economy from Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell. The Dow Jones Index closed at 28,122, up 55.21 points by 0.20%. The Standard & Poors 500 index closed at 3,141, up 6.88 points by 0.22%. The Nasdaq Composite Index closed at 8,648, up 15.45 points by 0.18%.

FTSE 100

UK markets were modestly higher on Tuesday as sterling lost ground, with signs of progress in Sino-US trade relations failing to provide much of a boost. The FTSE 100 index closed at 7,404, up 6.85 points by 0.09%.

Asian shares ticked higher on Wednesday as more upbeat signals from Sino-U.S. trade talks fanned hopes of an imminent end to tariff hostilities, which helped offset concerns about a slowing U.S. economy. Nikkei is currently trading at 23,470, up 97.30 points by 0.42%.

Precious Metals

Gold was lower, changing hands at $1,459.99 per ounce on the spot market XAU= on Wednesday.

Base Metals

The three-month copper price on the London Metal Exchange moved higher at the close of trading on Tuesday November 26, breaching nearby resistance against modest turnover, while zinc futures failed to test the $2,300-per-tonne resistance level despite a 1.2% afternoon surge.

Crude Oil

Oil prices retreated on Wednesday after rising Tuesday on reassuring trade headlines. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude CLc1 was down 0.36% at $58.20 per barrel.
