Nifty opened flat at 11922 on Monday and made a high and low of 12084 and 11920 respectively before closing positive at 12074.
Review/Outlook:
For the day, support for Nifty exists at 12020 and 11950 levels whereas resistance for Nifty stands at 12110 and 12200 levels.

Novartis AG is buying United States (US) biotechnology company The Medicines Co for about $9.7 billion, the Swiss drugmaker said on Sunday, as it seeks to expand its portfolio of medicines against cardiovascular disease. (BL). |
Godrej Appliances said on Monday that it will be investing Rs 700 crore by 2022, in a bid to increase its annual appliance production capacity by 19 lakh units to 65 lakh units per annum. BSES Discoms and Ola Electric will be setting-up battery swapping and charging stations in the national capital. Penalties worth Rs.32.58 crore have been realised from errant food business operators in 2018-19, up by about 23 per cent compared with realisations in 2017-18, according to data released by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on Monday. (ET).

In years past, onion farmers in Maharashtra used to protest against the abysmally low prices in November by dumping their produce on the streets; today the situation is quite the opposite. Prices of the bulb in all major wholesale markets in Maharashtra have shot up due to a shortage in supply. Untimely rains late in October across all the major onion-growing areas in the State have led to massive crop damage. Good quality onions in markets across Nashik are being traded at Rs.5,000-6,000 per quintal (100 kg). In more news, state-owned MMTC has placed order for importing 6,090 tonnes of onion from Egypt and the consignment will be available in India for sale from early next month, an official statement said on Monday. DJIA and NASDAQ Composite
US markets closed higher on Monday, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite hitting record highs in early trading as market participants remained largely focused on the long-running trade dispute between Washington and Beijing. The Dow Jones Index closed at 28,066,
up 190.85 points by 0.68%. The Standard & Poors 500 index closed at 3,134, up 23.35 points by 0.75%. The Nasdaq Composite Index closed at 8,632, up 112.60 points by 1.32%.
FTSE 100
UK markets were firmly in the green on Monday, on the back of sizeable gains for select financials, alongside advances in miners' shares amid renewed hopes over a China-US trade deal. The FTSE 100 index closed at 7,396, up 69.48 points by 0.95%. |

Precious Metals
Gold lost some ground Monday, with weakness attributed to cautiously upbeat expectations around U.S.-China trade negotiations seen robbing the metal of its haven appeal.
Base Metals
The three-month copper price on the London Metal Exchange was marginally higher at the close of trading on Monday November 25, but prices failed to breach nearby resistance on moderately low turnover, while lead futures made the biggest losses over the day.

Oil prices recovered late Monday after a mostly down day, having gained in three of the past four sessions. |
