Trading Range:
Nifty opened gap up at 11677 on Tuesday and made a high and low of 11727 and 11641 respectively before closing positive at 11692.
Review/Outlook:
For the day, support for Nifty exists at 11630 and 11570 levels whereas resistance for Nifty stands at 11750 and 11830 levels.

Bank Nifty opened gap up at 30299, made a high of 30551, low of 30223, and closed positive at 30351. For the day, support for Bank Nifty exists at 30100 and 29900 levels whereas resistance for Bank Nifty stands at 30500 and 30700 levels. |

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) and HPCL have launched a co-branded loyalty card, called BharatBenz Dieselaabh, for fleet owners. The card is available for the entire range of BharatBenz trucks, said a DICV statement. The card will ensure drivers’ access to a host of services at all HPCL petrol bunks, Rajaram Krishnamurthy, V-P, Marketing and Sales, DICV, said in the statement. (BL). |
Maharashtra Scooters Ltd (MSL) has become a subsidiary of Bajaj Holdings & Investment Ltd (BHIL) with effect from June 17, 2019, the company said in a release on Tuesday. This comes after WMDC Ltd, a Government of Maharashtra undertaking, transferred its 27 per cent stake in Maharashtra Scooters Ltd to BHIL. (ET). |

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) will pick an operation and maintenance (O&M) contractor through a tender for commercial utilisation of port and inland water transport facilities developed under the Kaladan Multimodal Transit Transport Project (KMTTP). The Rs.2,904.04-crore Kaladan Multi Modal Transit Transport Project seeks to create an alternative access route to the North-Eastern region by developing a multi-modal mode of transport for shipment of cargo from the Eastern ports of India to Myanmar as well as to the North-Eastern part of India through Myanmar. Workforce under flexi-staffing, or those provided through contractors to various employers, grew at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16.3 per cent to 3.3 million in 2018 as compared with 2.1 million in 2015, according to a report by the India Staffing Federation (ISF). (ET).

Domestic air passenger traffic increased by 2.96 per cent in May due to the ongoing tourist season, compared to a slump in April. Domestic airlines flew 1.22 crore passengers in May, against 1.18 crore passengers flown during the same period last year. In April, domestic air passenger traffic had dropped 4.5 per cent over the same period last year. The latest data released by the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation shows that IndiGo flew 59.80 lakh of the 1.22 crore passengers in May followed by SpiceJet (18.03 lakh), Air India (16.53 lakh), GoAir (13.55 lakh), AirAsia India (7.68 lakh) and Vistara (5.79 lakh). The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) plans to find a new operator for the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, one of the country’s busiest, with the agreement with IRB Infrastructure Developers set to end in August. NHAI expects the new deal will value the expressway at $1-1.2 billion (Rs 7,000-8,000 crore), said two people close to the development. (ET). |

DJIA and NASDAQ Composite
US markets ended higher on Tuesday, after President Trump touted a positive phone call with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping about next week's trade meeting at the G-20 summit in Japan. The Dow Jones Index closed at 26,466,
up 353.01 points by 1.35%. The Standard & Poor’s 500 index closed at 2,918, up 28.08 points by 0.97%. The Nasdaq Composite Index closed at 7,954, up 108.86 points by 1.39%.
FTSE 100
UK markets extended their recent gains on Tuesday, tracking broader gains in Europe after European Central Bank President Mario Draghi signalled that monetary policy could be eased if inflation does not pick up and after the presidents of China and the US said that they would meet at the G-20 leaders' summit in Fukuoka, Japan. The FTSE 100 index closed at 7,443, up 85.73 points by 1.17%. |

Asian share markets jumped on Wednesday as investors dared to hope the Federal Reserve would follow the lead of the European Central Bank and open the door to future rate cuts at its policy meeting later in the day. Nikkei is currently trading at 21,332, up 358.87 points by 1.71%.

The rate-cut buzz kept gold near 14-month highs at $1,346.62 per ounce on Wednesday.
Base Metals
Base metals traded on the London Metal Exchange had all closed up by the afternoon kerb on June 18 after the potential US Federal Reserve interest rate cuts inspired a bullish sentiment.
Crude Oil
Oil prices climbed on Wednesday, extending sharp gains from the previous session on rekindled hopes for a U.S.-China trade deal and on continued tensions in the Middle East after tanker attacks there last week. |
