Trading Range:

Nifty opened gap up at 11028 on Wednesday and made a high and low of 11055 and 11012 respectively before closing positive at 11036.

Review/Outlook:

For the day, support for Nifty exists at 10980 and 10890 levels whereas resistance for Nifty stands at 11060 and 11120 levels.

Review/Outlook:

Bank Nifty opened gap up at 27639, made a high of 27830, low of 27552, and closed positive at 27776. For the day, support for Bank Nifty exists at 27500 and 27300 levels whereas resistance for Bank Nifty stands at 28000 and 28200 levels.

Corporate News
Multinational drugmaker Sanofi has received approval from its board of directors to sell its oldest manufacturing facility in India at Ankleshwar (Gujarat) to Zentiva Pvt Lte for Rs.261 crore. (BL).
State-owned mining-cum-power generating company NLC India has said its installed capacity in the renewable sector has exceeded 1,000 MW. The company commissioned 95-MW capacity of the 109-MW solar power project in Ramanathapuram district in south Tamil Nadu. With this, the total renewable capacity established by the company exceeded 1 GW. (ET).
Pharma major Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd has launched Fosaprepitant for Injection, the therapeutic generic equivalent of Emend (Fosaprepitant) for injection, approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA). (BL).
Azim Premji, founder of India’s third-largest IT services company Wipro, and his other group entities sold about 22.46 crore shares worth over Rs.7,300 crore during the Wipro buyback offer that closed last month. In a regulatory filing on Wednesday, Wipro said it had bought back 32.3 crore equity shares at Rs.325 a share. The total amount utilised under the buyback was Rs.10,499.99 crore. (ET).
Cyient, a Hyderabad-based engineering and technology solutions company, has signed an agreement QinetiQ’s Target Systems (QTS), a UK-based defense technology firm, to offer avionics products for its unmanned target systems. Under the agreement, Cyient will provide advanced manufacturing and electronics engineering solutions for the UK firm’s unmanned air, land, and sea target systems from its facilities in India, according to Anand Parameswaran, Senior Vice President, Aerospace and Defense at Cyient. (ET).
Sajjan Jindal-led JSW Steel has reported 13 per cent fall in crude steel production at 12.53 lakh tonnes in August against 14.48 lt logged in the same period last year. Flat products output dipped by similar percentage point to 8.51 lakh tonnes (9.81 lakh tonnes) while that of long products were down five per cent to 2.91 lakh tonnes (3.05 lakh tonnes). (BL).
HDFC Bank has more than doubled its mid-corporate loan book to over Rs 90,000 crore in the past three years, arguably making it the largest player in the segment. (ET).
SBI on Wednesday said it will raise up to Rs 3,465 crore by offloading up to 4.5 per cent stake in SBI Life Insurance Co to bring down the promoter shareholding as per regulatory norms. The share sale process consists of a base issue of selling up to 3.5 per cent with an option to additionally sell up to 1 per cent of the total issued and paid up equity share of SBI Life. The floor price for the share sale has been fixed at Rs 770 per equity share. (ET).

Accurex Solutions and Apollo Seiko Japan have formed a new company, Apollo Seiko Pvt Ltd, to sell soldering machines in the country. Apollo Seiko has been manufacturing automated soldering systems. It has been patenting many advances in selective soldering technology including versatile iron tip design, innovative solder feeding techniques and nitrogen integration to provide a low-cost, lead free soldering solution for both robotic and hand soldering applications. (BL).
India will soon align its trade remedy rules and regulations with established world standards to give maximum benefit to Indian industry, said Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal. (ET).
India has agreed to reduce import duties on Indonesian processed palm oil to 45 per cent bringing about parity with imports from Malaysia. The decision was taken by India in a meeting between Commerce & Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and his Indonesian counterpart Enggartiasto Lukota on the sidelines of the 51st ASEAN Economic Ministers' Meeting (AEM) in Bangkok, Thailand, earlier this week, according to the Commerce Ministry. (BL).
Tata Motors Group global wholesales in August 2019, including Jaguar Land Rover, were at 72,464 units, which was lower by 32% over August 2018. Global wholesales of all Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range in August 2019 were at 25,366 units, down by 45% over August 2018. Its global wholesales of all passenger vehicles also came lower by 22% at 47,098 units in August 2019. Further, Global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover were 39,615 vehicles (*JLR number for August 2019 includes CJLR volumes of 4,680 units). Jaguar wholesales for the month were 10,097 vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales for the month were 29,518 vehicles. (ET).

DJIA and NASDAQ Composite

US markets closed higher on Wednesday as the focus shifted between Apple's product launch a day earlier and trade relations between China and the US. The Dow Jones Index closed at 27,137, up 227.61 points by 0.85%. The Standard & Poors 500 index closed at 3,001, up 21.54 points by 0.72%. The Nasdaq Composite Index closed at 8,169, up 85.53 points by 1.06%.

FTSE 100

UK markets extended their gains on Wednesday, outperforming their peers on the Continent as worries about Sino-US trade relations eased further and with deal news providing an additional boost. The FTSE 100 index closed at 7,338, up 70.08 points by 0.96%.

Asian stocks rose on Thursday on hopes for a thaw in U.S.-China trade frictions and expectations that the European Central Bank will kick off another wave of monetary easing by global central banks. Nikkei is currently trading at 21,765, up 167.23 points by 0.77%.

Precious Metals

Spot gold XAU= fell 0.23% to $1492.80 per ounce on Thursday.

Base Metals

The three-month price of tin on the London Metal Exchange was higher at the close of trading on Wednesday September 11, settling at its highest level since June 21, while a steady downturn across the rest of the complex saw copper fall through its nearby $5,800 per tonne support level.

Crude Oil

U.S. crude CLc1 ticked up 0.77% to $56.18 in Asia on Thursday. Futures tumbled more than 2% on Wednesday following a report that Trump is considering easing sanctions on Iran, which could potentially boost oil supplies.
